KCA Governmental Affairs
Overview of KCA Governmental Affairs work in 2026.
In 2026, the Kansas Chiropractic Association continued its strong presence at the Statehouse by actively monitoring more than 700 bills, attending over 130 legislative committee meetings, and meeting directly with legislators, regulators, and coalition partners to advocate for the chiropractic profession and the patients we serve. KCA worked to advance legislation improving access to chiropractic care, including school physical and concussion management proposals, while also protecting the profession from policies that could negatively impact patient safety, scope of practice, insurance fairness, and healthcare competition. Throughout the session, KCA remained engaged with the Kansas Legislature, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, the Kansas Insurance Department, and numerous healthcare stakeholders to ensure chiropractic physicians continue to have a respected and effective voice in Kansas healthcare policy.
